A perfect narrow hem is made as the funnel turns the fabric under and the needle stitches it down. The fabric is fed through the funnel on the front of the foot.
This is a high shank hemmer foot. It is available in sizes:

- 3/16" (5mm)
- 1/4" (6mm)
