Manila Pattern Paper
Manila pattern paper is a thick “cardboard” material to cut out the patterns of the pieces in a product to be spread and cut
( Example: shirt front, shirt pocket, sleeve or pants )
The pattern is placed on marker paper and traced around along with all the patterns to be cut and you have a complete marker
with all pieces necessary for the product to be made in the spread.
This will also determine the length of the spread.
Many sewers will claim, hands down, that manila pattern paper is the best paper for making patterns. This manila paper is the 4x thickness to make it strong, but flexible. 190# or .014. This durable, sturdy paper is perfect for patternmaking and allows for accurate marking.
Favored by the professional trade, as well as home and hobby sewers, this paper is thicker than tracing paper. You can finalize your patterns for regular, repeated use.
This paper is the same one used in production patterns in the industry and is also suitable for use with heavy vinyl, nylon, and leather.
It's smooth, but cuts clean with sharp edges, and is heavy enough to use to make templates.
190# = .014 = 4x
This paper is only stocked in 63" x 300' rolls.
